Hewens College is an inclusive college that provides education for children aged 11 to 19 and is committed to creating a learning environment where every student can make good progress and achieve their fullest potential. The College embraces innovative ideas and good practice to provide a welcoming, caring and nurturing environment.

With a curriculum designed to help our students become happy, successful, self-reliant and creative members of the society which their generation will build, Hewens College is the place where the future begins.

We strive to create a community which is welcoming, inclusive and supportive; where young people develop a genuine appetite for deep learning, together with an enthusiasm for life.  We have a caring ethos, supported by a strong pastoral system which ensures that children are safe and happy at college, allowing them to flourish academically.  We believe that education should not only focus on the delivery of challenging lessons which lead to outstanding academic results, but should also aim to develop each individual by exploring all aspects of learning; nurturing personal identity, encouraging empathy and embedding the importance of respect and integrity.
