Have you changed your mind about the secondary school you applied for, or are you still deciding which secondary school is right for you? Starting secondary school is a BIG step, and it’s completely normal to have questions. Our Year 7 Taster Days are designed especially for students starting in September 2026 who have not applied to Hewens College and would like to explore their options before making a final decision; pupils who have already applied will be invited to a separate transition day in July. During the taster day, students will attend real lessons, meet teachers, ask questions about starting secondary school, explore the school and its facilities, and enjoy a full “day in the life” of a Year 7 student. The taster days will take place on Tuesday 21 April 2026 and Tuesday 28 April 2026, with sessions available from 10:00am–12:00pm or 3:30pm–5:30pm, offering a relaxed, no‑pressure opportunity to see whether Hewens College feels right for you.
